Dr. Andrew Holness is the full time family physician at Meridian Medical Consultants. He is Jamaican and a graduate of the University of The West Indies, Faculty of Medicine and has been in Family practice in the Caribbean for more than 10 years.
He is a member of the Caribbean Family of Family Physicians and has special interest in chronic non-communicable diseases and how the family can cope with these.
He gives lectures and talks to community groups, churches, schools and welcomes the entire family’s input in the care of their own.
Both Drs. Holness and Lawrence are committed to the education of their patients about individual health concerns as well as those affecting the family and wider society. They co-host Meridian Medical Corner on WINN Fm - a medical education programme on local radio that encourages the sharing of information and answering questions about health issues or concerns.
